Online Tutoring

Connect online with a student who needs academic support.

The volunteer coordinator will match you based on your skills, availability, and preferences.
Commitment: Minimum of 1 hour per week.
Requirements: PA criminal background check, PA child abuse clearance, and FBI fingerprinting.

SOY PGH Program

Support children in educational and recreational activities.

Schedule: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at least twice a month.
Location: South Hills Middle School and Beechwood Elementary School.
Requirements: PA criminal background check, PA child abuse clearance, and FBI fingerprinting.

Special Events

Support community activities such as Navidad in Pittsburgh or the Back-to-School Bash.

Ideal for those seeking one-time or short-term volunteer opportunities.
Requirements: PA criminal background check and PA child abuse clearance.

Authorizations required to get started

Also, volunteers aged 17 and under are required to provide the following clearances to participate.This requirement is mandated by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
