SOY Pittsburgh Assistant (McKeesport)
The SOY Pittsburgh Assistant supports the academic success of K-5 Latino students enrolled in the bilingual SOY (Supporting Our Youth) after-school program in McKeesport. The program aims to improve educational outcomes while fostering pride in students’ native language and cultural heritage, helping prepare them for a successful future. In this role, the assistant works closely with the SOY Pittsburgh Coordinator to support all aspects of the program and its activities.
SOY Pittsburgh Elementary School Coordinator
The SOY (Supporting Our Youth) Pittsburgh Elementary School Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bilingual SOY Pittsburgh (McKeesport location) after school program and summer camp at the elementary school level, and for engaging and supporting SOY Pittsburgh elementary school families.
SOY Pittsburgh exists to improve academic outcomes for Latine youth while simultaneously building students’ pride in their native language and heritage; thus preparing them for a successful future.
Manager of Educational Policy,
Advocacy, & Partnerships
The Manager of Educational Policy, Advocacy & Partnerships serves as the Latino Community Center’s primary leader and resource on K-12 educational policy, advocacy, and partnerships. This position is responsible for advancing educational equity for Latino children by identifying and addressing systemic barriers, strengthening partnerships with school districts and educational institutions, and ensuring Latino children and families have a voice in the policies, practices, and decisions that shape their educational experiences.
