Guiomar Arbelaez

Guiomar joined the Latino Community Center in 2023. She is from Colombia where she graduated as a psychologist from the Universidad de Los Andes and she co-founded the Liceo Montreal, an organization focused on providing education, and health promotion and prevention for children and adolescents. In this institution, she worked as an educational psychologist, completed training in school education, and acquired responsibilities related to the area of human resources in the administrative, recruitment, training, and personnel development areas.
During her university studies, she worked as an intern in various hospitals and social and community institutions. She came to the United States to pursue graduate studies in Human Resources and Labor Relations at Penn State University.
Her goal is to promote the Latino culture, of which she is very proud, and to contribute to the empowerment and progress of the Latino community in the United States. She loves music, to spend time outdoors with her family and friends, and to learn about history, psychology and business.
