Daniel Santander

Parent Specialist

Daniel Santander is an education and music professional from Santiago, Chile. He studied Accounting at The Higher Institute of Commerce N2 and classical guitar at the Artistic Experimental Lyceum. He also studied Pedagogy and earned his Music degree at the Metropolitan University of Education Sciences, graduating with Excellence distinction in 2007. In 2008, he earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Orientation at the University of Santiago de Chile while working in different schools in Santiago. In 2011, he began working at the School of Music of Montevideo in Uruguay while teaching guitar and directing the EMM musical ensemble. That same year, he met his current wife, Nicole Gable, while they were classmates at the University of Montevideo. In 2015, he published the book "Method of Guitar N1". He and Nicole were also married in 2015 and moved to Pittsburgh. After arriving in Pittsburgh, he studied English as a Second Language at La Roche College. He is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Music Performance at Duquesne University. He works as a freelance musician in his free time in addition to his role as Parent Educator.
